Family Resources from The Boston Basics
Hello Dever Families! The Boston Basics are five evidence-based parenting and caregiving principles that encompass much of what experts find is important for children from birth to age three. The Boston Basics Initiative is working through a broad range of institutions to ensure that every parent and caregiver is fully supported by family and friends to use the Boston Basics practices in everyday life. Dever MCAS Pep Rally!
On Friday, March 31, Dever held an MCAS 2.0 Pep Rally that included a slideshow of encouraging messages, Dever core values, and our students hard at work! Student representatives from grades 2-5 also participated in a “Dolphin Challenge” that highlighted students’ test taking and reading skills.
An Owl Visits Dever!
Dever’s K2 friends have been studying owls for a few weeks as they learn about animal habitats and the food chain. They even dissected owl pellets! As the finale of their owl study, they invited an owl and bird expert to the Dever! Students had interview questions ready for their visitors and enjoyed seeing an owl in person! Thanks to Ms. Jackie for setting up this great experience!
